Hey, again, sorry for not posting for a week or so but I’ve been running around like crazy working and working on my art…But I thought I’d pop up my current attempt at acrylic painting…I actually quite like it…
Hey, so this morning I looked at some of my old drawings and realised the nose was a bit rubbish. So I decided to focus on it a bit since it’s a really important part of the face. It’s quite prominent and always good to know. I’ve included some of my notes in pencil but I think I need a lot more work. Again, it’s really important to remember how shade works on it and the variation there is.
I started by designing the flat shape of the nose, then worked on each kinda angle and then how shadows and light play a part. After that I tried to draw a nose and think about how it looks on a skeleton considering the nose is mostly fat and tissue.
Hey, so it’s New Year’s day and I thought I’d start as I meant to go on with a bit of a practice at shading. For this I decided to start with some basic shapes and then try some more complex body forms like an arm. So here is my notes for this morning. They might be useful for someone looking at shaded areas, mid-tones and light. I drew this in pencil simply because I couldn’t find my pen but it’s all cool.
