Hey, again, sorry for not posting for a week or so but I’ve been running around like crazy working and working on my art…But I thought I’d pop up my current attempt at acrylic painting…I actually quite like it…
So I’ve just finished my tenth portrait and I’ll pop up the rest shortly but I’ve just finished this one…I’ve had to wrestle with it and I’ve also joined an urban sketching group and will pop up some of these drawings but here you go….
Sorry for not posting in a while, I’ve just been a bit busy with work and such. I’m, at the minute on a bit of an drawing challenge; I’ve challenged myself to draw 10 Game of Thrones characters….reasonably well….in 10 days and I’ll post up my attempts shortly. But in the meantime, here’s my current one…number 8, Samwell Tarly….
So I’ve just come back from this week’s art lesson where I’ve been learning about the ink wash technique which looks fantastic and I really need to research it more…but here you go, here’s my first attempt:
So all my life I’ve been a massive Only Fools and Horses fan and after visiting the Leonardo Da Vinci exhibition in town today and then looking at some Andrew Gormley sculptures as well as attending the Chinese New Year celebrations, I thought I’d see if I could draw the star of Only Fools, Del Boy himself, David Jason to commemorate his 79th birthday….so here it is:
Hey, so my old mum is a huge fan of Neil Sedaka and before my operation I saw his CD in Winchester and promised her if it was still there, I’d buy it…I did and, of course, I did a quick sketch of the fella behind the music to maybe the best scene in the first Deadpool movie…
So I’ve just finished my Tony Stark project but saw a most excellent tutorial on drawing Thor on black card but felt I’d like to try my own example and, well, here you go….
So whilst I took a break from my main Tony Stark project (which is done by the way), I thought I’d have a go at an iconic photo of Muhammad Ali in Pencil…..and a bit of charcoal so here is the greatest himself. Float like a butterfly, sting like a bee…..
Hey, so after my lesson last night on chalk and charcoal drawing, I thought I’d have a go at another tutorial on portraits in that medium and as I’ve given it a bit of a rest so far, here’s what I’ve got at the moment (I bought some fixative for when it’s finished so it doesn’t get messy).
So I’ve just started an evening art course and I’ve never used chalk to draw before and I was very impressed by my first go so I’ve included it in my blog today…. and here it is:
