Hey, again, sorry for not posting for a week or so but I’ve been running around like crazy working and working on my art…But I thought I’d pop up my current attempt at acrylic painting…I actually quite like it…
So I’ve just finished my tenth portrait and I’ll pop up the rest shortly but I’ve just finished this one…I’ve had to wrestle with it and I’ve also joined an urban sketching group and will pop up some of these drawings but here you go….
So I’ve just come back from this week’s art lesson where I’ve been learning about the ink wash technique which looks fantastic and I really need to research it more…but here you go, here’s my first attempt:
So I’ve just finished my Tony Stark project but saw a most excellent tutorial on drawing Thor on black card but felt I’d like to try my own example and, well, here you go….
So whilst I took a break from my main Tony Stark project (which is done by the way), I thought I’d have a go at an iconic photo of Muhammad Ali in Pencil…..and a bit of charcoal so here is the greatest himself. Float like a butterfly, sting like a bee…..
So I’ve just started an evening art course and I’ve never used chalk to draw before and I was very impressed by my first go so I’ve included it in my blog today…. and here it is:
Hey, so further adventures in drawing….well, I’m stuck in bed, I have a couple of books but I thought I’d look at some web imagery and tutorials and as mentioned before, I am a bit of a wrestling fan….so I’ve drawn one of the greats in the wwe…John Cena and…..here he is…
It’s messy isn’t it?….But when you get past that, it is a lovely medium for drawing with. I spent an hour or so looking at some tutorials and then decided to give it a go myself so here are my first efforts with charcoal. 1. an eye and 2. My quick attempt at the Lincoln statue in Washington DC. It really can get very dark, which is great…..
Hey, so since I’ve been stuck in bed, I’ve been trying to up my pencil drawing game a bit and tried to imagine a scene that includes a riverside, trees and just looks very peaceful….so here’s my first try….
But hey, if you wanna check out the place this is based on: https://www.thenewforest.co.uk/
So my last sketch before I went home last night was of the Sphinx in Giza, which is far smaller than you might think!….I touched it’s paw and I just couldn’t believe, considering it’s age, how great it looked….Sans the nose.
